Exotic Isle is a beautiful peaceful little island community on the Colorado River in Matagorda County, Texas. Located just minutes from Matagorda’s Bays and the Gulf of Mexico makes this secluded island a retreat for fisherman, beach goers and boaters. Situated half way between Galveston & Corpus Christi allows easy access from Houston, Austin and San Antonio.
The island is approximately 35 acres with 25 home sites with fifteen homes currently on the island. The island has natural terrain with beautiful old trees. A breeze off the gulf blows freely through the island making evening get-togethers on the porch a delight. Home sites are spaced so homes are not on top of each other like in so many other communities. Nestled in the center of the island is a community pool and plans for tennis/basketball court is currently being discussed. A ring road around the island allows for travel around the island to other home sites as well as to tram/cable car and barge landing. Transportation used by islanders is mostly by golf cart or sport utility vehicles which help lend to the serenity of the island.
Residents and guests access the island in a unique way. A private cable car system travels up and over the Colorado River offering panoramic views of the river, Exotic Isle, and surrounding wooded areas. A ferry/barge is available for residents to transport materials and goods as needed.
Exotic Isle is the perfect getaway for the family looking for seclusion at its best. Homeowners are able to dock their boats at their homes making boat sports easy for families to enjoy. The fishing in this area is unbelievable! The river is full of red fish, trout and blue crabs for avid fisherman and seafood lovers. You can fish off your dock, or venture out on the river and bays surrounding Exotic Isle. Matagorda Beach is just minutes away, and is one of the most pristine beaches on the Gulf Coast.
